| Seminars
are ‘mini-courses’ or
workshops that are held throughout the year. Two seminars are repeated
on an annual basis, Spirituality of the Catechist I and Spirituality of
the Catechist II, as both are required for catechist certification.

Seminars | Spirituality of
the Catechist I What is
spirituality? What does spirituality have to do with teaching? In this
seminar, Jackie Hopper guides participants in examining where
spirituality ‘occurs’ in the human
person—in the integration of body, mind and spirit.
Participants will explore their own personal preferences for learning
about the world and find connections between the ‘multiple
intelligence’ approach to teaching and appropriate and
effective religious education.
| Spirituality
of the Catechist II Like
the disciples on the road to
Emmaus, catechists and those engaged in other ministries in the Church
begin their work with their “hearts burning” within
them… but over time their passion for sharing the Good News
may begin to fade. In this seminar, Participants will have an
opportunity to reflect upon and articulate the vision for serving
others that they are called to live out. Participants will discern in
what areas they remain passionate about their vocations and explore in
what areas they might want to rekindle the fire in order to recommit to
live out their vision and mission. |
